When theatres were closed during the pandemic, we collaborated with the Citizens Theatre to film The Macbeths: a digital performance that audiences could watch for free at home. We shot the play observational documentary-style, with our cameras following and adapting to the action, capturing this radically cut version of Shakespeare’s text that focuses on the couple at the heart of the story.
