Filmmaking Training Workshops

How a short course with Urbancroft Films can transform your digital presence.

Creating video content can seem daunting, but it is easy to do with the right tools – you just need to learn how to use them! It’s true that well-structured and well-filmed content can transform your company’s social media presence, and a great solution for not knowing where to start is enrolling your team in a short training course. This way (for those routine posts when it might not be practical to hire a production company) you can create your own content that sits nicely alongside anything you have professionally filmed. Both types of video can work well together for different outputs and aims, and what better people to learn this from than the Urbancroft Films team!

There are several benefits to a filmmaking workshop. In our Shoot & Cut for iOS course, participants get hands-on training sessions that introduce filming and editing on iPhone or iPad, specifically to create regular content for social media. The workshops include content to consider, camera operating, sound, filming conditions, and interview techniques.

By knowing how to use your device and equipment you can…

Feel confident when creating content

Next time you pull out your phone to capture footage, you’ll know exactly what settings to choose from, how to position the camera, and what will work best for the type of content you are trying to create. We’re always excited to hear when participants leave our workshops having learned of a new filmmaking technique they were unaware of!

Speed up your processes

Instead of waiting to post until you can hire a professional production company, capture content as it happens. Once you have a strong foundation of knowledge from our course, making an Instagram reel won’t feel like an hours-long process. You can speed up those marketing workflows and start producing content on a regular basis.

Build an archive

Company milestones, events, and even the day-to-day moments don’t have to be lost to time or solely captured in photos. The more content you create, the more you’ll have to pull from when working on planning your next social media calendar.

Additionally, by having us support you to capture the best quality footage you can, it makes it easier to repurpose your content professionally!

Transform your brand

The more video content you share, the more engagement you’ll have. Video gives your followers and potential clients a real insight into your company, making your online presence feel more authentic and inviting.

Our Course

In our Shoot & Cut for iOS workshop, you will start by familiarising yourself with the iOS device and by the end of a session, you will know how to plan, film, and edit your own project – equipped with knowledge that will allow you to feel more confident when creating video.

On top of our courses that cover the technical aspects of creating your own films, we also offer a course to explore content and find different approaches to sharing your story online.

Training can be delivered for individuals or small groups of up to six with ongoing support options available as required. We even offer bookend graphics services to attach to any of your content.

Our goal is to teach people the skills they need to create regular video content for social media. When it comes to adverts, promotional videos, event coverage, and any other larger-scale projects, the Urbancroft Films team is always ready to jump in and make the perfect film. By combining high-quality, professional filmmaking with a strong social media presence, your brand will be sure to stand out!
