PreProduction
Schedule
Once you’ve commissioned video we’ll work closely with you through preproduction to ensure that we maximise our time on location filming for you. A well planned schedule means that you’ll get the most from your shoot and that things will go smoothly. We’ll look at everything that can impact on time – transport, people, locations and of course the weather! We’d usually take a lead on scheduling because we understand how long each element of filming is likely to take.
Crew
Ensuring the best crew are selected for your shoot is key! We have a core team of very experienced Creatives and Crew but we also have an approved team of freelance crew who we work with regularly. Some carry specialist skills in specific areas of filmmaking. We’ll always select the best people for your shoot in order to achieve the best results.
Casting
We can take care of casting actors, voiceover artists or extras for your videos. We have good working relationships with a range of agents and casting directors and can arrange self tapes, auditions or make suggestions to who you might use. We’ll handle the contracting and ensure everything is handled in line with union guidance.
Locations
Selecting the best locations will make your video content more dynamic and stand out from the competition. We’re always interested in finding the best location for your video. We have a large database of contacts for indoor and outdoor location and have an excellent knowledge of Scotland.
Props
Props are often required on film sets. These can be simple everyday objects or period props or unique items. We have access to several large prop stores located around Scotland to source everything you might require for your production.
Planning
By failing to prepare you are preparing to fail! Our projects all require planning – usually behind the scenes to make sure that crew are briefed appropriately and any potential challenges are overcome before we arrive on location.
Planning in preproduction means we’ll maximise our time filming on location.
Risk Assessment
Risk Assessment is essential on every production to make sure that your people and our crew are going to be safe whilst we’re filming. We have qualified staff in-house that create appropriate risk assessments for every aspect of your shoot and ensure that appropriate insurances are in place.
