Excerpts from two recent projects – ‘Whithorn Rebuild’ & ‘Building a Virtual Whithorn’
We’re delighted to showcase some excerpts from our long partnership with heritage charity The Whithorn Trust in Dumfries & Galloway. We’ve made dozens of films, led training projects and screened work in the community over the last 12 years. The video excerpt above features a recent collaboration between The Whithorn Trust, Urbancroft Films and Smart History to create a virtual Whithorn visitor experience.
‘Looking Out of My Window’ Campaign Video & Documentary Video
Freedom from Torture provides specialist psychological therapy to help asylum seekers and refugees who have survived torture recover and rebuild their lives in the UK.
They commissioned Urbancroft Films to make a short film that reflected the feeling amongst their clients during the Covid-19 pandemic. We worked with people at their windows across the city and filmed their stories.
The Scottish Wildlife Trust is a registered charity dedicated to conserving the wildlife and natural environment of Scotland. We create video assets for a campaign, including a key campaign video which helped government ministers to decline a proposed gold course in Aberdeenshire.
A series of promotional videos and a short Documentary
Epilepsy Scotland commissioned us to produce a series of short videos explaining the different services they offer in Scotland. We collaborated with their staff team and service users to make powerful videos that will provide valuable information and resources for people who have been diagnosed with Epilepsy. One of the films – Phillip’s story was recently nominated for a small charities award.
