Our next instalment of The Bright Sparks Series looks at the work of heritage scientist Dr Lyn Wilson who works for Historic Environment Scotland. Her work consist of documenting heritage sites using digital scanning technology. The Scottish Ten project looks to digitally document five historic sites in Scotland and five international site such as Mount Rushmore, the Sydney Opera House and the Giant Cantilever Crane in Nagasaki

In the film we see Dr Lyn Wilson and her team undergo a training exercise at the Titan Crane in Clydebank. We then see how the information taken from the crane can be used to create detailed 3D models in order to better understand how to conserve and manage these historical sites.
